Computing Catalyst works at the intersection of academia and industry to propel more women and underrepresented communities into technology education and careers. Computing Catalysts' goal is to achieve gender equality in tech.
Goals
The University of Maryland is committed to making computing inclusive and accessible for all. The university plans to raise the graduation rate for women in Immersive Media Design as well as Computer Science, Information Science, and Technology and Information Design.
Computing Catalyst at UMD
Partners of the Computing Catalyst include the College of Information Studies (iSchool); College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (CMNS); Department of Computer Science; iSchool Consultancy; and University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS).
