Stefano Passeri
Stefano Passeri is an interdisciplinary designer who blends traditional media and theory with creative technology to develop immersive environments. His current research explores the potential of game engines to augment exhibition spaces beyond physical gallery settings, bringing culturally significant artifacts to audiences who may not have access to conventional museums.
Before joining the University of Maryland, Stefano served as the Undergraduate Thesis Coordinator at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture and was a Design of Theory Fellow at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). His work has been exhibited and published in the US, Europe, and Asia. His professional experience includes collaborations with internationally acclaimed design studios and creative practices, bringing a global perspective to his work in both academia and industry.
Stefano holds a Master's of Architecture from SCI-Arc, a Master’s in Philosophy from the University of London, a Bachelor of Architecture from University College London, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Surrey.
