Applications are now OPEN for Immersive Media Design Teaching Assistants. If you have worked with a professor to become a TA for the upcoming semester, please email Assistant Director, Alyssa Ryan (aneuner@umd.edu).
To be eligible to apply, undergraduate students must:
- Have a cumulative GPA above 3.0
- Have received at least an "A-" in the course to which they are assigned (or received explicit approval from the instructor of the course) *
- Have no other TA obligations
*If an applicant is currently enrolled in a course they're interested in TA'ing for but haven't received the final grade yet, they should still be encouraged to apply, provided they're expecting to meet the grade requirement. Applicants are allowed to update their application and course preferences after the semester concludes.
By completing and submitting the application below you confirm that you:
- Are eligible to TA for the class(es) you have selected.
- Understand you may not hear back about a TA position until shortly before the start of the semester.
- The information regarding your student status, current program, etc. is accurate.
- Will check your Terpmail frequently during the break. You may be contacted by the department or instructors regarding a TA position, including being sent an offer email. Timely responses are necessary. We suggest, if you know you will forget, set a reminder for yourself to check your Terpmail several times a week over the break.
Submitting an application with false information, even unintentionally, may result in termination of any offered TA position and/or disqualify you from future TA positions in the department.
Upon completion of the application form, you will receive an e-mail receipt that will allow you to "Edit your Response" in the event you need to amend your application.
